Sheer Rocks Restaurant practically hangs over the Caribbean Sea and the Resort is host to weddings for couples all over the world.

Chapter 7 - Living is Easy (especially if you are a caterpillar)

We all spend time at the Sugar Ridge Resort at the bottom of our hill where Carleen presides over the bar and really enjoys her job!  And the guys really enjoy her company, not to mention the pina coladas!

We also loved the very uncrowded beaches and the wonderful warm water.

All by himself!

Our dinners at the house could be quite spectacular...

Besides the occasional mongoose and donkey, these caterpillars were the creatures we saw most, the Tetro Sphinx Caterpillar.

Tetrio sphinx caterpillars often appear in gardens or landscaping and can defoliate frangipani trees in a few days or couple of weeks. One caterpillar can devour three large leaves per day. They typically start feeding from the leaf tip and have been known to feed on tree stems if leaves are unavailable.

In very short order, these small trees were stripped clean of all their leaves.

Another lovely rainbow over Jolly Harbor

Shirley Heights, Party every Sunday

The view from Shirley Heights Lookout is without question the most famous view on Antigua. Located within the National Parks, overlooking English and Falmouth Harbours, this panoramic view, on clear days takes in Guadeloupe to the south and Montserrat with its still active volcano to the south west.
Shirley Heights Lookout is home to the 'biggest and best' party on the island every Sunday for the last 25 years where crowds of visitors and locals converge from 4pm to reserve their spot to watch the most wonderful view of the sunset on the island, as the Steel Band plays.

From 7pm the Soca, Reggae and Calypso music takes over and the partying really starts. As hunger strikes there is an excellent barbecue with a huge selection of dishes to chose from.

By the time we arrived the crowd was enormous and we wished we had gone there on a different day!  However, the food was very good, the alcohol flowed and the music was contagious so that everyone was wildly dancing!
